What's up with the gaming industry ? Seems like most of the hyped up releases in the last year hit the streets and got immediately dumped in the "Mixed" (at best) reviews category for everyone to soon forget. We won't name any names, but it is sad to see - especially for co-op titles that depend so much on an active player base.
It is, however, easy to only see the negatives. So, let's not dwell on them, and instead shine a light on a few beacons of hope this month:
Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story is another great release by Digital Eclipse. Showing once again that learning about the past doesn't need to be boring at all. The Outlast Trials as well as The Crypt of the NecroDancer: SYNCRHONY left Early Access. Both in a very good state it seems. Xbox players can finally enjoy Final Fantasy 14 Online - most likely never to be seen again for the next couple of years because of all the available content. PlayStation fans, on the other hand, are now able to enjoy the formerly exclusive titles Solasta: Crown of the Magister and As Dusk Falls. Oh, and of course, Team Ninja's newest Samurai-Souls-like, Rise of the Ronin, hit store shelves last month.As you can see, despite the online discourse often focusing on the big misses, there are still a ton of very good titles to enjoy with your friends.
