Don't Expect another Elder Scrolls Game Anytime Soon

Don't expect to see a sequel to Morrowind or Oblivion anytime soon, that would be Elder Scrolls 5.  According to Bethesda company president Todd Howard, they haven't even started development or thought about development on it yet.    When asked about an Elder Scrolls MMO though - Howard was a little more coy.   "There's always a chance," he commented.

Raven Dev to Reimburse You for Wolfenstein...if they beat Madden

This one might be so crazy that it'll just work.  Raven software developer Manveer Heir has offered to pay for your copy of Wolfenstein if the game sells more than Madden NFL 10.  The results will be based on NPD numbers, you must have your receipt, and you must follow Manveer on Twitter.  Considering Madden consistently sells a few million copies a year, Wolfenstein has some tough competition.  The last shooter to pull those kind of numbers was Halo 3.

Community to Decide on Map Packs for Modern Warfare 2

We always love it when a developer offers to involve the community.  That seems to be the case for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.  While two map packs have been announced, anything past that will be based off community feedback.

"As far as DLC goes, we love it and plan to support Modern Warfare 2 heavily with post-launch support," he said. "We've confirmed we'll be doing at least two map packs which were announced at E3 as a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. The fact that we confirmed at least two map packs doesn't mean there won't be more; honestly we plan on shaping our DLC based on community feedback from the full game, and the first two DLC map packs. Therefore, the community will really determine what comes after that."

Xbox 360 is the ONLY console that shows growth this year

The recent NPD numbers are out and the Xbox 360 has been holding a steady second place amongst sales, and has really closed the gap between its numbers and the Nintendo Wii. What does that mean?  Well according to Aaron Greenberg of Microsoft, the Xbox 360 is the only console that has seen a GROWTH in sales year or year.  It's pretty hard to dispute the hard numbers.  With rumored price cuts to be coming next week at Gamescom from all but Nintendo, it'll make for an interesting battle for the rest of the year.
