1,000 Player Co-Op? Yeah, Sort Of...

Before you freak out about the title of this article, let's look at the definition of co-op again, taken straight from our Co-Op Terminology Guide:

"A co-op game is a game where two or more players work together to accomplish a goal against AI opponents."

The good folks over at Xbox360Achievements.org are setting up a co-op experience on a grand scale.  An achievement for NBA Live 07 requires 1,000 gamers to play matches all at the same time.  The reward is a fat 100 point achievement.  Needless to say, it's a bit tough to coordinate such an endeavor, and there's not much time: EA is taking down some of the servers for its sports titles, some of them fairly recent.

I know NBA Live 07 isn't technically a co-op game, but 1,000 people working together to earn that sweet achievement sure does feel like co-op, don't you agree?  I'm tempted to pick up a copy of the game from the bargain bin and participate myself.  Anyone else going to try and help out?
