Duels of The Planeswalkers Gets Vampiric New DLC

A swecond expansion for Magic the Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers has been announced.  We already knew the expansion was coming, but now we've got some details.  The expansion is as of yet untitled, and will feature Sorin Markhov, a vampiric Planeswalker, pictured above, as the "big boss" character.  Three new decks, including the blue/black/red deck used by the first expansion's Nicol Bolas, will become available once the single player campaign is defeated.  No word on a new co-op campaign, but both previous releases included a local two-headed giant style campaign, so we'd guess that trend will continue.

Other content from the new DLC includes the standard new puzzles and achievements, as well as avatar awards.  A minor improvement, multiplayer host migration, is a nice new feature as well.  No exact release date for the DLC has been announced.

Sorin Markov, the ancient vampire sangromancer, has returned to Zendikar for reasons he is keeping to himself. This second expansion pack for Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers features new cards and new decks to add to your arsenal. Now you can wield the power of Nicol Bolas's "Eons of Evil" deck, unlock three new cards for all existing decks, or defeat the new single-player campaign to unlock Rhys the Redeemed's "Heart of Worlds" and Chandra Nalaar's "Heat of Battle" decks. This expansion pack also contains five new puzzling challenges, three new achievements and personas, host migration for multiplayer, and avatar attire awards all to test your Magic skills. Are you prepared to defy the Master of Shadows?
