Co-Op Release Alert for the Week of August 29th

Vacation Edition

This week in co-op... we actually have some new game releases!  Oh, thanks be to the video game gods!  We have looked into the abysmal void that was the summer release schedule and reeled back from the brink of oblivion!  We have some downloadable titles out this week, along with a real life, honest to goodness, full retail title.  Get your gaming in now while you can.  Hope you've caught up on your backlog.  September 6th is a week away, and with it comes the Fall gamesplosion in all of it's time leeching glory.

Bodycount (PS3, 360) Shred through environments and enemies with a friend in a two player siege mode. (2 player online co-op)

Elevator Action Deluxe (PSN) It has elevators! It has action! It has de lux! (2 player local co-op)

The Baconing (PSN) Join Deathspank in the third installment of his thongy trilogy. Is this the last we'll see of Deathspank?  No one really knows.  (2 player local co-op)

Ugly Americans Apocalypsegeddon (PSN) If you've seen an episode of Comedy Central's Ugly Americans, you were probably too high to change the channel after watching Futurama.  That's okay.  It's kind of funny, or so I've heard.  This game is a four player shoot'em up that features the voice talent from the show.  The best part?  The game will supposedly support online and local co-op.  (4 player online co-op, 4 player local co-op)

There's more...

The Baconing (XBLA,PC) and Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon (XBLA) will be out the following day for their parenthesized systems.  In other news, "parenthesized" is a word, even though it sounds made up.  If we missed anything, be sure to let us know in the comments section.  Oh yeah, I think Madden comes out this week, too.  Thank god the NFL strike is over.  That would have been awkward.  Go Bengals!  Yeah, I said it.
