Battlefield 3's Multi-Disc Strategy Explained

Multiplayer and Co-Op Separated from Single Player

Last week we broke the news that the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 3 would require two discs. This week we find out why (and we discuss Andrew Gaskill's punishment for his comments about chubby PlayStation 3 gamers).

In a short-and-sweet statement to Eurogamer, EA explained that the co-op and competitive multiplayer of Battlefield 3 would be contained on the first disc, and the single player component would be contained on the second. We approve of their prioritization.

Since everyone here is so hardcore about co-op, you can send your single player campaign discs my way. I am running out of clay pigeons to shoot at...and Andrew is too big to fit on my skeet thrower.
