Dead Rising 4 Will Release on Steam Mid-March

Steam version will be available for the first time March 14th

Dead Rising 4 had a simultaneous PC and Xbox One release date back in December, but many PC gamers were unhappy that the only PC version available was the Microsoft Store version (making it Windows 10 only). In under a month, this will no longer be the case, because Dead Rising 4 will also be distributed via Steam starting March 14th.

Though Dead Rising 4 was originally planned to be an Xbox Play Anywhere title (i.e. purchasing the digital copy of the Xbox One game also gives the buyer a free copy of the Windows 10 PC version), this functionality was later scrapped for the game. This left the PC version of the game in a strange limbo, where the only place PC players could buy it was the Microsoft Store. Many PC users prefer to use Steam, since they already have massive game libraries stored there. To celebrate its launch on the popular digital storefront, Capcom has released a short trailer:

Dead Rising 4 supports up to 4-player online co-op in a separate co-op campaign mode. The game is out now on Xbox One and PC (Microsoft Store) and will receive its Steam launch on March 14th, 2017 (it's already available for pre-purchase with a 20% discount until launch).
