Strange Brigade Coming to PC and Consoles This August

They don't seem THAT strange...

It's been a while since we've heard from Rebellion about their four player co-op adventure, Strange Brigade. Today, however, the UK developer announced that the title will be released on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on August 28. So gather your friends and prepare to face off against the Witch Queen Seteki.

Everything we've seen of the game thus far has largely focused around the gameplay aspects and how the core mechanics work (i.e., round-based waves). The latest trailer shifts to the story and what our band of intrepid explorers is up against; namely, an undead queen with a chip on her shoulder (not to mention some bandages). I'm certainly intrigued to see how all the promised puzzle-solving, looting, and shooting comes together.

The title is available for pre-order now, and there's a Digital Deluxe Edition that includes the Season Pass, as well as a Collector's Edition that includes some physical goodies but, apparently, not the Season Pass. The Season Pass will get you all the planned post-launch content, including new campaign missions, playable characters, and weapons. Here's everything that's included in the Collector's Edition:

  • Strange Brigade® boxed edition (PlayStation®4 and Xbox One only)
  • Steelbook case
  • Secret Service Weapons Pack DLC
  • Airship model
  • 64-page art book
  • Exclusive suitcase design and sleeve

Strange Brigade will be available on August 28, 2018 for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It will support four player online co-op throughout the main story campaign. It is currently available for pre-order on your platform of choice for $59.99 for the Standard Edition, $79.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition (includes the Season Pass), and the Collector's Edition, which currently has no price given.
