Last year we told you that Mr. Albert Wesker of Resident Evil 5 would be an exclusive pre-order bonus for Lost Planet 2 at Gamestop. Along with Wesker you'd have access to that large revolver of his, as pictured above. But Capcom has changed their tune, and instead decided to offer both items to everyone who purchases Lost Planet 2.
Does that mean no bonuses for those that pre-order? Not exactly.
Instead you'll be getting two multiplayer maps for the game's versus modes. The maps are called Helix and Back to the Island, and will be included with all pre-orders. The problem is, there's no word as to when these maps, or if these maps, will be available to everyone. Sounds a bit like bad exclusive content splitting the user base to me.
On the flip side, Capcom has reconfirmed 2 player split screen co-op support for the game. I'm totally down with a Wesker and Marcus combo to take out some Akrid when the game launches this May.
