In a move that once again shows the good people at Valve don't like money, Left 4 Dead 2 is now available for the Mac. If you have L4D2 on the PC, then it will cost you exactly zero dollars. "If you already own it on the PC, then you own it on the Mac. All you need to do is load up on your Mac and start playing." Valve is just giving stuff away. And if it's not free, it's on sale. Read on to see the great deals. (Unless you only have Xbox LIVE. If so, prepare to choose ANGER.)
First off, not only is L4D2 available on the Mac, all of the DLC is available for free.
If you don’t already own it, now is a great time to pick it up. Not only do you get Left 4 Dead 2 but steam owners get all the previously released DLC for free! So you get the original 5 Campaigns and “The Passing”, “The Sacrifice” and “No Mercy.”
Our good friends over at Kotaku have also picked up on some other fantastic deals from Steam. Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 are both 66% off, which means you can pick up either one for $6.79. You can pick up a L4D 1 and 2 bundle for $10.19. Or, if you are in the giving mood, you can purchase a four pack of L4D2 for $20.39 and give the others to your friends.
As for all you Left 4 Dead 1 owners looking to game on a Mac, don't feel neglected, even though Valve obviously likes you second best:

It could be worse. You could be an Xbox 360 owner. I paid $59.99 for Left 4 Dead 2 and it sat in its plastic wrap for months while my friends and I nursed our Borderlands crack habit. And now I have the pleasure of paying 560 Microsoft Points (That's about seven bucks, or a million Taco Bell tacos. Whichever comes first.) for "The Sacrifice," which is also free on Steam. So I guess technically, all you PC and Mac gamers owe people like me a big thanks for pretty much funding Steam. I want my dividends!
