Oh, the burning!

Our Weekend In Gaming: Everything's On Fire!

The Co-Opticrew seems to have gotten a tiny case of pyromania this weekend.  Nearly everything we're playing revolves around fire, from emblems to ashes to rings (of the "rule them all" variety).  I highly doubt we'll be doing much with actual, physical fire, but you never know.  If you hear any fire alarms going off in the next few days... maybe check back here and make sure we're okay.

SteelSeries Has Solved The Switch Headphone Problem

If you’re like me, there are times when you take your Nintendo Switch with you and get ready to play, only to remember you packed your headphones in another place. This leads to digging into said place, finding the (likely tangled) headphones you want, and then untangling the cords before diving into your favorite game. However, SteelSeries is claiming to have solved this problem with the Arctis 1, the first fully wireless gaming headset for the Nintendo Switch that is now available on their website for $99.99.

Details about the WoW Classic launch, a BDO PS4 update, and anniversary events for Champions Online

MMO Co-Opportunities Volume CIII: Anniversaries and New Ways to Play

The first hints of Fall have begun to arrive in these early September days. Fall is a special season for MMOs, as historically many have launched during this season, meaning that a lot of anniversaries for MMOs occur around now. This month on MMO Co-Opportunities, we take a look at two anniversary-related events (the launch of the WoW Classic serve...

Just like clockwork.

Our Weekend In Gaming: The Gears Are Turning

As is our way, the Co-Opticrew is moving on to the newest, hottest co-op games this weekend.  Much like Andy in the nightmare sequence of Toy Story 2, we're no longer interested in our old toys.  New, exciting options await in the form of guns-with-chainsaws and guns-without-chainsaws, and we'll be up to our eyeballs in them.

Chillin' out, maxin', relaxin' all cool.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Days Of (No) Labor

It's a long weekend here in the states (or as Sam knows them, the colonies), and the Co-Opticrew is fully prepared to take advantage.  Well, most of us are, anyway.  Some of us (including yours truly) had completely forgotten about the extra twenty four hours of freedom and are now scrambling to make sure it doesn't slip away without at least a little gaming goodness.

No sequel is safe around these parts.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Sequel Hunters

The Co-opticrew is having a hard time prying themselves from the allure of the sequel.  The pull is so strong, in fact, that nearly every game on the docket this weekend is either the second, third, or umpteenth entry in a series.  What can we say?  We like what we like, and we apparently have no room in our lives for things that don't align exactly with those specifications.  Or maybe, instead of room, it's time.  In fact, speaking from experience, I can say with some certainty that it is indeed time.

They're like regular professors, but angrier.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Battle Professors

The Co-Opticrew is heading to school this weekend, butt-kickin' school.  Whose butt is getting kicked?  Hard to say at the moment, but we'll probably find out when everyone tries to sit down in their office chairs on Monday.  Not all of us are heading down a path of violence, though.  Some of the staff are exploring the galaxy or a mysterious landmass.  While those plans could also easily turn violent, let's hope for nice, peaceful journeys.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Rule Of Three

The Co-Opticrew is hoovering up every possible new release this weekend, and the fun doesn't stop there.  With both GenCon and EVO happening over the next few days, we've got our hands (and eyes) full of games of all shapes and sizes.  Unfortunately, none of the staff is able to attend either event, but we'll be keeping tabs on them as we work through a hefty load of sequels and expansions.
