	Supreme Commander Play against the computer with up to 2 friends in a skirmish mode. Pushing the RTS genre to new levels Supreme Commander introduced battles the size of which hadn't been seen before. SupCom (as it's often abreviated to) alowed players to have a unit cap of 750 (and there are mods to push this further). The game has many similarities to Starcraft, most importantly the ability to play to your own style of strategy. The coop in the game is basically skirmish missions against the computer. The maps though are less inspiring and just resemble arenas rather than realistic terrain. Also the AI is largely disappointing (although improved in the addon) and easily beaten on most settings. From experience the Balanced AI setting offers the most challenge to seasoned players.Supreme Commander is an excellent game though and would suit anyone looking for a new RTS to play.
	Saints Row: The Third The entire Saints Row: The Third experience can be enjoyed by two players through online play or system link. The game requires an online pass for co-op play.
	Dungeon Defenders Team up as one of four characters each with their own unique abilities and traps to conquer dungeons in this tower defense action/RPG hybrid.
	Serious Sam 3: BFE Team up through the campaign with up to 15 other friends for frantic, old-school shooting action.
	Trine 2: Complete Story A side-scrolling puzzle-platforming game featuring up to three players working together to complete the campaign. Three player couch co-op, online co-op, and combo co-op (i.e., a mix of couch and online co-op) is supported throughout the campaign. Each player controls one of the three heroes.
	Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon 3 players can team up through the campaign while 6 players can team up for a survival mode!
	The Darkness II The Vendettas co-op mode is a separate story in which players can choose from four different characters and level them up in co-op play.

	Sniper Elite V2 Two players can take on the entire campaign together online. Co-op mechanics include the ability to revive a fallen comrade or spot enemies with your binoculars, marking their locations for both players. Other co-op modes include Killy Tally (survive 10 waves of enemies), Bombing Run (hunt for vehicle parts before time runs out), and Overwatch (one player snipes while the other spots enemies and carries out objectives).
	ORION: Prelude Up to five players can work together to accomplish objectives and survive the devastating Dinosaur horde.
	Blades of Time The game offers a mode called "Outbreak" which is similar to a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) in which two players try to destroy the AIs turrets and enemy base.
	Max Payne 3 In Dead Men Walking co-op mode, fight waves of enemies as Max and Passos, earning Grit, which is used to unlock new areas of the map, weapons, weapon attachments and ammo. This mode was added as paid DLC on 1.22.2013 and is a required add-on for cooperative play.
	Awesomenauts Three players can team up locally or online and play against bots.
	Borderlands 2 Players work together using four different classes of characters to complete quests, gather loot, and trade items. All three systems support online co-op. Local co-op is available on the console versions.
	Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken Select a pair from the dirty half-dozen Budgie commando characters and set out on a mission to save the daughter of a general in 10 co-op missions.
	Critter Crunch Co-op drops Biggs and Smalls into a single large board and plays out similarly to the Survival mode. Both players work together to clear critters and set up combos for one another while trying to achieve as high a score as possible.
	Europa Universalis: Rome Play co-operatively by controlling a single nation or aiding each other as separate nations with up to 32 players. Players sharing the same nation each have full control and as such need to have very good communication in order not to undo each others work.
	Castle Crashers The game allows 4 players each to choose a character and embark on a journey to defeat countless hordes of enemies and save the princess.
	Sanctum The game is playable in 4 player co-op as of the latest update.
	Painkiller Hell & Damnation Play through the campaign with a friend in co-op either online or locally.
	Miner Wars 2081 Team up with up to 16 players through the game's story. Other players are part of the host's players squad. Progress for guests does not carry back to their own save.
	AirBuccaneers Work with a crew of players as you pilot your airship and engage in combat with other players from around the world.
	Orcs Must Die! 2 Play as the Sorceresses or War Mage through the game's levels in two player co-op.
	Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor Operation Stonewall is the lone co-op mode in Tales of Valor. It throws up to four players into a scenario where they defend a town against an all out attack by an overwhelming AI opponent. You'll have to use everything at your disposal to try and hold out.
	Red Faction: Armageddon Infestation is an online co-op swarm mode. 4 players can join together to take on increasingly difficult waves of enemies.
	Hearts of Iron III Co-operative multiplayer mode allows several players to work together to win the war with up to 32 players. You can either form alliances with other countries and cooperate that way or actually share control of the same country. In this case however make sure that you are on the same page which actions are done by whom.
	Monaco: What's Yours is Mine Team up with up to four people on the same screen or online to steal everything that isn't nailed down
	Iron Brigade Team up with three other players and show off your customized Trenched Mech as you work together. The game also features a revive mechanic and will scale difficulty based on the number of players.
	Aliens: Colonial Marines Aliens: Colonial Marines story is fully playable in four player co-op. In co-op mode, each player will assume the persona of a United States Colonial Marine and have a distinct role to play in the completion of every mission.
	Global Agenda In general, Co-op missions are for a squad of 4 players against AI bad guys ending with controlled enemy bosses. There are several variations of co-op missions, mostly related to difficulty, including ones with a larger number of player-characters. There are also higher level PvE missions that will be available to subscribers, yielding elite components and loot.
	Spiral Knights Team up with three other knights and defeat enemies, collect loot, and solve puzzles.
	Loadout Fight the mysterious invaders with up to three of your friends in the new Campaign mode through many missions that will test your teamwork, strategy and quick thinking.
	Combat Arms Combat Arms offers a mode called "Fireteam" in which 8 player cooperate to complete objectives like rescue hostages and disarm bombs.
	Arctic Combat The 4-player co-op mode will feature various levels of difficulty, all resulting in an assortment of rewards.

	March of War Form Battle Groups and charge the enemy with everything you've got!
	War Thunder New Co-Op game mode ‘Assault’: Challenges players to defend a strategic location against waves of enemy ground vehicles or aircraft. For tankers, combat is fought tank to tank on the ground, with the ability to temporarily support teammates in attack aircraft or bombers. Pilots are tasked with maintaining air superiority over a zone by fending off enemy bombers approaching from all directions. As each successive wave is stronger than the previous one, players have to work together to hold out until the end, upon which they will receive well-deserved rewards.
	Path of Exile Form a party of up to 6 players online to adventure through randomly generated areas. Players can join the party at any time and port into a private area that their party has already created. Choose from six classes in this highly character-customizable ARPG.
	Cities in Motion 2 Up to four players can manage the same traffic network in co-op mode.
	Prison Architect Build a prison cooperatively with up to 8 people online! While in a regular sandbox game of Prison Architect you can select to Go Online and host a multiplayer game that people can join. This game can be publicly listed or set to private and protected with a password. When players have joined you can see them as a marker in the world and can see what material or object they have currently selected and are about to build.
	Ms. Splosion Man The sequel to the platformer 'Splosion Man. Blast through levels with up to three other people either locally or online.
	Don't Starve Together Players team up and share resources to survive as long as possible.
	Sanctum 2 Sanctum 2 is a sequel 2009's Sanctum, a hybrid FPS/Tower Defense game. To succeed you have to construct and upgrade defensive structures. What makes Sanctum unique from other tower defenses is that when the havoc starts, you jump right into the action with your own weapons and play a key role in the defense.
	Leviathan: Warships Enlist Your Shipmates: Bring along up to 3 other players for five individual challenge missions, or a full co-op campaign spanning nine levels
	Age of Empires II: HD Edition Team up with three other players to battle A.I. opponents in some traditional RTS "comp stomp".

	System Shock 2 Co-op play allows up to four players to tackle the main campaign together. The game was designed with a tense, stranded and alone sort of ambience in mind, however, so first time System Shock players should consider doing a solo run before inviting friends in on the fun.

	PAYDAY 2 Up to 4 players take perform multiple bank heists and robberies spanning over 30 missions. Gameplay is heavily improved and expanded since it's prequel, with a number of new abilities and items.
	FORCED FORCED is centered on a number of unique and interesting challenges geared towards the number of players present. Additionally, a cooperative combat system is implemented where players can place ‘marks’ on enemies with special attacks, and thus increase the potency of other players' attacks against the foes.
	Metal Slug 3 Team up in local or online co-op through the game.

	Satellite Reign Up to four players can each take control of one of the agents during a mission to complete objectives. Progress is saved with the host. <strong>NOTE</strong> - Co-Op isn't quite available yet. It will be released as a future patch for the game.
	Overlord Controls minions with your best (evil) friend as you terrorize the country side.Overlord is set in an unnamed fantasy world, where the player takes the role of a resurrected warrior known simply as The Overlord who has control over hordes of gremlin-like creatures known as "minions". The player must defeat seven corrupt ruling heroes in order to reconquer the lands and establish his lordship over its inhabitants. The game features a corruption feature, similar to that of the Fable games, but allowing the player to "be evil... or really evil", where certain actions and choices affect different aspects of the story and gameplay. While controlling the Overlord in a third person perspective, the way minions are controlled to battle and perform actions brings elements of real time strategy, with upgrades bringing those of role-playing games. The game also uses black humour and often parodies and satires the traditional fantasy setting and plot.
	Operation Flashpoint: Red River The core game is built around its four player co-op campaign, but Red River will also feature separate co-op modes with various objectives.

	Popup Dungeon Each of the five members of your party can be controlled by a different player either in local hot seat mode or in online coop (planned).
	Shadow Warrior (1997) Play through all of the single-player campaign levels with a friend. Note: Getting co-op/multiplayer to work via the DosBOX emulation that runs this game now requires tinkering with a few things. There's a post on the Steam forums that details the steps to get this up and running.
	Resident Evil 5 The entire Resident Evil 5 campaign supports two player, drop-in/drop-out co-op. Co-op is also supported in the story DLC, "Lost in Nightmares" and "Desperate Escape." Additionally, two player online co-op is supported in the "Mercenaries United" mode.
	Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide In Vermintide, the city of Ubersreik is under siege as players choose from a band of five heroes with different play-styles and abilities, all equipped with unique gear and personalities. Working together cooperatively, players must use their individual attributes to survive an apocalyptic invasion from hordes of relentless, power hungry Skaven, across a range of environments stretching from the top of the Magnus Tower to the bowels of the Under Empire.
	Killing Floor 2 The game is designed for co-op, as the horde can easily overrun a single player. A multitude of varied playable characters await for players to choose from as they enter the fray in online co-op mode
	Galactic Civilizations III Up to four humans can play together on the same team. Since the biggest maps allow for a total of 48 players, additional AI teammates can be added. The play style is what the developers are calling "simultaneous planning, sequential execution". Basically this means that you can set all your dials, design ships, set destinations for all your ships, plan building projects and queue up ships and such at any time. Execution of movement happens one after the other.

They can farm, mine, fight, fish, forage, marry NPCs and take part in festivals. Each player has their own inventory. When a farmhand is not connected, their inventory can be managed through a chest in their cabin.
	Full Metal Furies Four players can join in on the adventure. Play as a friendly Fighter, a near-sighted Sniper, a square Sentinel, or an oval Engineer.
	Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 In Black Ops 3, you can play both the Campaign and Zombies mode cooperatively. Both modes support up to two players locally with a horizontal or vertical split-screen, and up to four players online. The modes also support combo co-op, so two local players can team up with two other players online

	MOTHERGUNSHIP Play through the entire campaign (except the into/tutorial mission) with a friend online! Should one of you succumb to the hail of bullets, then you'll still be useful as a turret that resides on your friend's back!
	Styx: Shards of Darkness At any time during your adventure, you are able to invite a friend to join your current session to sneak around with you for an alternative stealth experience. Co-op mode opens up many more opportunities for clearing a level and reaching the objectives, but also doubles the risk of being spotted. Assassination partners must coordinate carefully in order to succeed!
	Hellpoint: The Thespian Feast A second player only needs to press start to join. Loot is shared, progress is saved and the entirety of the game can be enjoyed in coop without interruption.
	MORDHAU Team up with five other players online to take on the PvE Horde mode. Fight against waves of progressively harder bots, earn gold, and buy upgrades at different locations around the map
	Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker Team up with three other players online to play special co-op missions and level up your ninjas. There are four different mission types you can play cooperatively: Searching – Avoid traps and obstacles to obtain a lost item. Body Guard – Players must protect the designated ally and bring them safely to an area of the map. Extermination – Take down multiple enemies that appear on the map as a team. Subjugation – Defeat ninja foes and powerful monsters with coordinated teamwork.

	Hammerting A Dwarven king once said: “A single axe is easily blunt, but an army of axes is unbreakable!”. You might want to explore and populate the depths of Mara on your own, but you can also partner up with jolly comrades and run a dwarven colony together. It’s all about synchronisation, companionship and common goals! You and your friends control the same base, the same dwarves (the dwarves will decide which ethereal being (player) they will choose to follow for the time being), and collaborate. If someone wants to join when you are already playing, just have them join the lobby and then the host can press the sync button in the bottom left corner while in game, and they will be let in.
	Red Solstice 2: Survivors Team up with up to 7 other players online in a Survival campaign. Choose from 8 different classes and level them up in an experience-based character advancement system. Join other player campaigns and combat missions or let them join yours, bring your own research and resources into their campaigns, play together and work towards the survival of the planet.
	Warhammer: Chaosbane Play with up to 4 players via couch co-op, online co-op, or a mix of the two (combo co-op). The four different classes have abilities that can be combined to create even more devastating effects.
	Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos Play in solo or in coop, online or locally, with up to 4 players through the entire campaign beginning to end. Build up your village into a bustling community, take down the dungeons that threaten the outer areas and collect tools to open up your world. 	Ancestors Legacy Team up with up to two other players (depending on the map) to battle A.I. opponents in some traditional RTS "comp stomp".
	Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Four player co-op will be supported in the main story campaign missions and side missions. Each player will be able to select from one of five characters and upgrade/outfit their character how they see fit. The combined forces of Chaos and Skaven are merciless, and it will require a co-ordinated team effort to survive their never-ending onslaught.
	Shadow of the Tomb Raider Co-op is only available in the challenge tombs which are accessible in the game's DLC. There are seven total levels planned. Co-op allows players to reach new areas not possible in single player.
	Tribes of Midgard Form a tribe, from 1 to 10 players, and thrive together as long as you can.
	Hitman 2 Play as Stone and Knight in the all-new "Sniper Assassin" co-op mode to eliminate a series of targets on a map. Players need to work together to locate targets, find ideal windows of opportunity to take out those targets, and make the shot. While both Stone and Knight use sniper rifles, they have access to different ammo types. Stone uses concussive Shockwave rounds and Knight uses Wall-Piercing ammo. Matchmaking is not supported, so you will need to team up with a friend.

	Darksburg Four player online co-op is supported in two modes: PvE and Last Stand. In the PvE Mode, join the Survivors in their fight against the Revenants and the zombie horde that have taken over the town as you complete objectives and do everything you can to ensure your continued survival. In Last Stand, choose your Survivor and try your best to withstand an overwhelming onslaught of Zombies and Revenants.

	Outward: Definitive Edition Team up with a friend on your couch or online to survive the world of Aurai
	Fling to the Finish Two players can share a controller or play online, each controlling a ball-like character tethered to the other character. Both partners can roll, jump, and grab onto objects independently, but the team will die and restart from the last checkpoint if their rope gets severed. Either player can also fling the other partner at the push of a button.
	Conan Chop Chop While you can choose to save the world solo, Conan Chop Chop really puts the party in "party game" when you step into its multiplayer mayhem. Featuring 1-4 player online and couch co-op, you can choose to play by yourself, with friends, or random people as you save the world from damnation.
	Rebel Inc: Escalation Work together to simultaneously stabilise two separate Regions, sending soldiers and resources to your partner to achieve your goals. Or jump into a Co-Op Campaign of escalating difficulty.

	Borderlands 3 Four player drop-in/drop-out online or LAN co-op is supported for the PC version of Borderlands 3. Players can join another friend's game regardless of level or story progression, and all loot is instanced.

	Remnant: From the Ashes In Remnant: From the Ashes you can group up with two other players online. There are multiple hero archetypes to choose from, each designed with unique skills and advantages to help the group survive. Loot is shared among all players and every player's world is procedurally generated with different encounters and dungeons to experience.
