Players will also eschew their pitiful human bodies in favor of the mechanical SEDs, humanoid robots each armed with an Arcus.  This new modular weapon has three unique firing modes and won't require ammunition, but it will need to be carefully monitored to prevent overheating.  Take a look at the trailer to see the Arcus in action:

In case you haven't heard of Warface before, it's a shooter focused on cooperative tactical action that allows players to team up in five person squads and take on a range of missions varying in both scope and difficulty.  Gamers short on time can make quick escapades into PVE missions, while those who really want to dive in can take on raid-style levels requiring a larger amount of time, a higher level of teamwork, and a bit more tactical nuance.

Specifically, they're headed to Pripyat, easily the most well known location in the exclusion zone.  Due out later this year, the large-scale mission being added is said to be the most ambitious to date in terms of the game's story and graphics.  To ensure they stayed true to their terrifying inspiration, the devs even took multiple trips to the area to see it in person and presumably feel the effects of minor radiation poisoning.

The brand-new Special Ops Mission Icebreaker, represents the turning point in the storyline as ‘Blackwood’ takes the battle to the players and the Warface main base. The enemy launches a massive airstrike and naval attack and deploys experimental offensive technologies as well as assault helicopters and warships. Players will need to stand their ground against this onslaught to make it through the day and reap the rewards

The expansive Operation Black Shark update sends players to infiltrate a cyborg-infested skyscraper under construction by Blackwood. As part of an elite squad dispatched by Warface, you and your co-op friends will fight through floor after floor of enemy-infested areas to bring the tower crashing down. New weapons and new achievements released alongside the content update, just in case killing tower cyborgs wasn't reason enough for you to fire up the game.

Each of the five turret types poses a unique strategic threat that can only be neutralized with tactical teamwork. Alongside the turrets, enemy personnel wielding heavy duty weapons add another explosive element to contend with – ensuring players have to be at the top of their game to clear one secured area and move on to the next.

Now, players must fight their way through a continuous three-part mission to find out if they're the ultimate War...Face...er.  The first section, "Spearhead", forces a five player squad to fend off waves of nameless, family-less Blackwood soldiers as the team extracts intel from a hacked console.  You'd think Blackwood would know that a good firewall would do the trick, but I guess once you've put your secret lair in Siberia, you might as well go whole hog with the classic bad guy tropes.

The rewards are already live, and will last throughout the duration of the game. Real money purchases were disabled as soon as the decision to "sunset" Warface went public, so you can't buy your way into a well stocked arsenal. The PC players will still receive rewards as per usual. With a month to go, is that enough to coax a few players back to Warface for one last "oorah"?
