Lara Croft Drops In/Out As She Pleases

Lara Croft has proven she's got the guns to go off on her own, leaving behind the Tomb Raider name and bringing a buddy for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. We have our impressions of the co-op action/platforming puzzle game staring Lara and Totec, and they'll have to work together to find this new mysterious artifact before those other guys get it.

The co-op sounds great for the game; working together to solve puzzles, fend off enemies, cover one another, unique abilities that help maneuver the terrain, etc. Now we have some news that we really dig in the co-op world - drop-in/drop-out co-op will be available in case Totec has to pick up his mom from the airport, or whatever other reason gamers would have for not being able to finish a co-op session together.

"This co-op system will work both online and locally, featuring a drop-in system for adding a second player on the fly."

Either way, after all of the years of being bitter over those stupid bears from an earlier title, I will be attempting to play as Lara Croft once more - will you be my Totec? Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be available for XBLA, PSN, and PC this September.
