With an online co-op, invited players can watch gameplay and vote on big decisions in the game, while the couch co-op experience allows individuals to take on their own player and be responsible for their actions alone. Similarly, The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil In Me, has ‘Movie Night Mode’ and ‘Shared Story’ modes for friends to play the entire story in different ways.

Activision is one of the biggest and most successful gaming companies in the world. Founded in 1979, the company has a long and storied history in the gaming industry. Over the years the company has acquired many other companies to grow their profile and to help build its portfolio of titles such as the Call of Duty and Guitar Hero franchises. Some co-op games from the Call of Duty gaming franchise include games like Call of Duty: World at War, which was available on the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and the Nintendo Wii.


Over the years, this publisher has also released a variety of comic book-related co-op games for a range of platforms. Both Marvel Ultimate Alliance and X-Men Legends, released on the PlayStation 2, were developed by Raven Software and published by Activision in 2006 and 2004. Although online co-op was not supported for either, both had local co-op of up to 4 players where players can take on the role of a superhero and team up with their friends.
