The Co-Op Experience

The 3DS version of Luigi's Mansion also supports co-op in three different game modes:

  • Campaign Co-Op - two players on two 3DS systems and two copies of the game can team up via local wireless connection to play through the entirety of the main story. One player controls Luigi and the other controls Gooigi.

  • Portrait Battle - two players on two 3DS systems can try and go for the best time by beating special "portrait" ghosts. One player controls Luigi and the other controls Gooigi. Only one copy of the game is needed for this mode.

  • Ghost Training - two players on two 3DS systems can practice taking down ghosts. One player controls Luigi and the other controls Gooigi. Only one copy of the game is needed for this mode.

Description

G-g-ghosts! Time to suck those suckers up because Luigi is back in the first portable version of this spooky classic. After winning a mansion in a contest he didn’t enter, he must beat its many bosses and puzzles. Follow a map on the touchscreen, shine a flashlight, blow fire, shoot water, stun ghosts, and trap them…before Mario is trapped forever! All this ghost-catching tomfoolery pays off! As you suck ‘em up with your Poltergust 3000, you could also rake in millions in hidden, in-game riches for our hard-luck hero. After beating and capturing boss ghosts, you can battle them again in the Portrait Battle mode.
