PSN is "PlayStation Network". Usually, it would mean the name someone uses on the PlayStation Network to play online with.

Dead Island does have a few players left. They post every few weeks here in this thread.

I've played the PC version of Dead Island so how difficult is the control for the PS3 version?

I could never get the PS3 coop to work. My friends and I would freeze up/get dropped almost immediately...

So did anybody ever get LAN coop to work?

I tried it yesterday, and it's insanely awful implemented. Can't judge about the gameplay, because we never got that far.

Here is what we did:

- Hooked up two PS3 consoles to a router (Network works fine, tried with Borderlands 2 LAN game)
- One console has the UK PSN version of the game installed, the other the US disc version (both on latest v1.04 patch)
- Fired up both games and set the online settings to 'LAN'
- Both started a game (there is actually only one way to start it, no separation between single and multiplayer)
- After finishing the prologue mission (which is single player only), neither of us were able to see the other in the 'Game Lobby'

Did anyone ever manage to get this working? Obviously I did some research on this topic and found all different kinds of opinions. Most agree that the multiplayer handling looks like being developed in ten minutes.

Any help would be much appreciated.
