Online Co-Op: Co-Op Play is available over the internet or an online service like Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network. Each player needs their own system, game, and internet connection.
Couch Co-Op: Couch or Local Co-Op allows players to use one copy of the game with multiple controllers to play co-op. This includes both split screen play and same screen play. Couches are not required.
SplitScreen: The TV is split into multiple screens so each co-op player gets their own viewpoint. The screen could be split vertically or horizontally.
LAN or Systemlink: Co-Op Play is available over a Local Network or System Link Connection. Most likely a router will be required, but you may use a crossover cable in some cases.
Drop-In/Drop-Out: Players can join or leave a cooperative game session at anytime without disrupting an existing player's game.
Two variations of the games feature co-op gameplay. Up to four players can work together to face time challenges in canoeing. Two gamers can co-op in cycling races.
Wii Sports Resort is a sequel of sorts to the pack-in Wii Sports. It comes with one attachment to the Wiimote, called Wii Motion Plus. This gadget adds precision to the Wii's motion capabilities.
