I'd still recommend this game for co-op play despite not having a true campaign co-op mode (which is my biggest gripe with the game.) But online wise, this game beats out the first one since you and a friend can go play online in team death match. Plus the "co-op" mode that is available is pretty addicting since you can level your characters up and gain abilities and items. It makes it RPG like and addicting but a campaign co-op would've made the gaME GREAT.

Yup, bad, bad, bad. After RFOM, I was really looking forward to R2.

I look for co-op games where 2+ people can play through the story locally on the same console.

But with R2, co-op play really felt like an afterthought. I am sorry I bought this game!

Not good with two people in co-op, but online is where the fun is, a co-op game with 8 people around the globe battling the aliens.

and the deathmatch... like 60 peopel in a game.

Seriously online is great, i hated the offline co-op as i wanted the orginal campaign but two people, but once you play online.... you will love it

No coop for the story mode. Huge disappointment having the first version in mind :-(

I wanted to play through the story with my friend like we did the first time. It was so fun, plus I got to be a black. I mean, how can you get cooler than that?

The co-op campaign is a random series of maps. Second player in split-screen mode loses anything earned when the session ends. Three classes but if there are only two people playing (split screen) then spec-ops and medic must be chosen to stand any chance.
Is there any way I can give this game two thumbs down?
