Resistance 2

Number of Players: 3 players are available for co-op play in this game. This is the highest maximum number available for a specific mode. See chart for details.
Number of Players: 4 players are available for co-op play in this game. This is the highest maximum number available for a specific mode. See chart for details.
Online Co-Op: Co-Op Play is available over the internet or an online service like Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network. Each player needs their own system, game, and internet connection.
Couch Co-Op: Couch or Local Co-Op allows players to use one copy of the game with multiple controllers to play co-op. This includes both split screen play and same screen play. Couches are not required.
SplitScreen: The TV is split into multiple screens so each co-op player gets their own viewpoint. The screen could be split vertically or horizontally.
LAN or Systemlink: Co-Op Play is available over a Local Network or System Link Connection. Most likely a router will be required, but you may use a crossover cable in some cases.
Drop-In/Drop-Out: Players can join or leave a cooperative game session at anytime without disrupting an existing player's game.

WOW! Insomniac, you really screwed up the sequel! Well at least it’s not like a movie in that it CAN BE FIXED? If I were in your shoes I would issue a patch (even if it’s a big one) for R2 or get R3 (with proper offline Co-Op campaign of course) out as soon as possible. Just Sayin...

Its has its goods and mostly bads. the only 1 player campaign pissed me off. plus the hard enemies on the missions made it even more sucky.

RFOM was awesome! My husband and I had so much fun sitting on the couch playing it, and we were really looking forward to R2. The campaign for one player is alot of fun, but this game is horrible for 2 people who want to play together. Insomniac should be ashamed of this game.

Yup, bad, bad, bad. After RFOM, I was really looking forward to R2.
I look for co-op games where 2+ people can play through the story locally on the same console.
But with R2, co-op play really felt like an afterthought. I am sorry I bought this game!

I was heartbroken when I actually played this. My roomate and I loved playing resistance 1 as a campaign.... without this feature, resistance 2 falls well short of our expectations.
