So many good hours were spent playing this game. It was a nightly ritual for months with my roommates after it came out. The relative simplicity of the game (select an attack, click enemy, repeat), belies the sheer amount of fun it was. The recent announcements regarding Diablo 3 have got me thinking about D2 again. It might be worth revisiting sometime in the near future.
