I grabbed this after beating castle crashers. This game is pretty shallow on most points but it is still worth it I suppose. THe game reminds me of Contra for it's difficulty but isn't multi-leveled so the game play gets repetitive but the boss levels(some of them) are quite fun. To me the mini pda games on schizoid are actually better than the real game.

My advice would be to pick it up when its on sale from XBLA. Not worth it at full price.

Castle Crashers convinced me to pick up Behemoth's earlier XBLA game Alien Hominid. I'm glad I did. While ridiculously simple in design, the game is a blast to play. It's a throwback to old-school, side scrolling shooters. You control an alien who's ship has crashed on Earth and you need to make your way through level after level of Men In Black type guys to get your ship back and get off the planet. In co-op, it's the same, but with two aliens. The levels are at times punishingly difficult, but with plenty of lives and continues, it's rarely frustrating. Behemoth refined the charm of their design in Castle Crashers, but it's still clearly evident in Alien Hominid. It's fun and definitely a different experience versus many of the other games available on XBLA.
