Online Co-Op: Co-Op Play is available over the internet or an online service like Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network. Each player needs their own system, game, and internet connection.

Couch Co-Op: Couch or Local Co-Op allows players to use one copy of the game with multiple controllers to play co-op. This includes both split screen play and same screen play. Couches are not required.

SplitScreen: The TV is split into multiple screens so each co-op player gets their own viewpoint. The screen could be split vertically or horizontally.

LAN or Systemlink: Co-Op Play is available over a Local Network or System Link Connection. Most likely a router will be required, but you may use a crossover cable in some cases.

Drop-In/Drop-Out: Players can join or leave a cooperative game session at anytime without disrupting an existing player's game.

Update:
On May 14th, 2008 Capcom has released an expansion pack titled Rocketmen: It Came from Your Uranus for $4.95. The add-on adds 5 new weapons and 3 new levels and allows you to upgrade your character even further.

Players will join the heroes of the Alliance of Free Planets in their white-knuckled, frenzied struggle to free the Solar System from the tyrannical grip of the Legion of Terra. Up to four players will be able to cooperatively shoot their way through multiple levels, powering up their weapons, picking up bonuses and laying waste to anything that moves.

Just learned they are also doing the live show on tuesdays, 9pm est.
That 360 bundle isnt too shabby...but Im not going to risk getting trampled...
A few years ago, a neighbor offered my wife a Super Nintendo with five games, all for $25, before it went into their garage sale
