The ultimate Nintendo hero is taking the ultimate step ... out into space. Join Mario as he ushers in a new era of video games, defying gravity across all the planets in the galaxy. When some creature escapes into space with Princess Peach, Mario gives chase, exploring bizarre planets all across the galaxy. Mario, Peach and enemies new and old are here. Players run, jump and battle enemies as they explore all the planets in the galaxy. Since this game makes full use of all the features of the Wii Remote, players have to do all kinds of things to succeed: pressing buttons, swinging the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk, and even pointing at and dragging things with the pointer. Since he's in space, Mario can perform mind-bending jumps unlike anything he's done before. He'll also have a wealth of new moves that are all based around tilting, pointing and shaking the Wii Remote. Shake, tilt and point! Mario takes advantage of all the unique aspects of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller, unleashing new moves as players shake the controller and even point at and drag items with the pointer. The second player can also zap and temporarily freeze enemies in place, making some of the trickier timed run-and-jump levels a little less frantic.

The game is quite frankly a single player game. The co op experience is very shallow and you can go through the whole game without ever needing a second player. A nice effort to get a friend to play if they are a casual gamer, but player one will be doing 90% of the work.

Hey whenever I try to co op it wont work.I turn on the 2nd control and point it at the screen and hold A. Also the 2nd control is not mine my cousin brings it which means it has been used on another wii but i dont think that's the problem

I was quite surprised at how much fun this casually co-op experience was. While not the most involving co-op game, it definetly was an appreciated added extra, that kept that one extra viewer off the sidelines. I liken this game's co-op to games like Sonic 2 or 3, added fun, without all the added stress of having a second person to look out for.
