After completing single player you unlock a 4 player survival mode with Nazi zombies. Players are required to hold a structure by buying weapons, ammo, and fortifying the structure. This mode is playable in 2 player split screen as well as online.

Note: You are unable to save progress while playing in Split Screen co-op.

One step in the right direction. I used to take issue when a game didn't have split screen but for you hard core co-op players it really doesn't get any better than system link. It bugs the hell out of me when games only have Live support (mercs2,ace combat, too human) so this game and Left for Dead get props for having more than the norm of 2 max player system link co-op content. The only bummer about this game is that it is too short and you miss some of the missions that are 1 person specific in the game.

The game can be played co-op with 4 players via system link I promise, You do not have to be on Live.

The fact that they advertise this game as this great multiplayer game makes me sick to my stomach, my wife and i were trying to figure out how we can both go online ,after finding out that you can't i became furious !!!The whole reason why i brought that game is so that me and her can play another shotting game where u can level up and play against other people together. it just pisses me off to no end how you cant play with 2 xbox live accounts at the same time. im getting tired of playin Halo 3,and i thought that this would have ben a good game to switch to but obviously not. they need to figure out how to do that, and quick b cuz thats what really makes it an online game, to me at least

Good game but the lack of online split-screen leaves a very sour taste in my mouth especially since the Nazi Zombie mode is so fun.

in real coop, 4 people can play in same screen online multiplayer and campaign, so far I've seen two games that have the complete co-op online, halo 2 and 3 and gears of war 1and 2, why do u think still play them because of coop, I was really dissapointed after game came out, because I actually thought WaW would pull it out but they didn't.

Game is broken and missing features

It doesn't allow you to save where you are in co-op so you have to beat the entire game in one sitting (Same technology features as the ORIGINAL NES system - disgusting)

Co-op allows splitscreen but if you system link, uh oh!, only 1 per console. So much for next gen.

Selling my game on e-bay, not buying COD games anymore, I got screwed twice over - sticking with Gears

Solid game if you are a fan of the COD games, it basically follows the same formula as COD 4 and uses the same engine only with a WW2 backdrop versus the Modern day one.

The game looks just as good as COD 4 and the sounds are amazing, however there are some downsides to it.

1. Playing co-op does not save your progress and will not unlock new levels

2. The splitscreen setup is a little funky be prepared to get use to it if you want to play couch co-op

3.The online community is very lame, unless you are playing in a private party with friends I don't recommend having your headset plugged in.

Other than that this is a decent game to pick up if you are a fan of the series, and the zombie mode you open up after beating the campaign is a very nice bonus.

Overall I give this game a 8.5 out of 10.

Game is great but the co-op features was disappointing to me. I bought it thinking that I was able to play split screen co-op online. And you cant even play multiplayer with 2 player online for one console.

You know I know they can get it working for COD but for some reason they are not doing it. But I think now they should try to release some kind of patch for COD5 and give the ability to play co-op split screen online.

I would not have even bought this game if it were not for the co-op capabilities, I was extremely disappointed to learn that you cannot save your progress in co-op mode.

Hopefully Infinity Ward will improve upon co-op play and include true co-op campaign in COD:MW2.
