best couch co-op game to come along in a long time since champions & baulders gate. yes you can trade with your couch buddy and yes the camera does need to be closer. have spent hundreds of hours playing this. wish more games like this were available.

the combat system , it gets boring having to stop everwhere only to hold down A,B,X or Y and letting ur character dish out the pain. The menus can be frustrating in that if ur not running it in high def u can't read the tiny writing. however the multiplayer is solid in that u can have 4player co-op over live or vrs and the game is quite literally the definition of huge, with over 500 side quests and a massive map to explore. so in short you have a massive game with good multiplayer and a nice if confusing story (guns n robots in a fantasy game) but on the downside it leaves u with a sense that its not finished. only the main charectors speak to you when u talk to them about a quest and movement could look a bit smoother. other than that its definitely a game to at least rent

Wiltur, you mention "I would do a little more looking into it before comparing it to Diablo."
Yes Diablo was a great game, but I don't remember Diablo having splitscreen co-op. I think people compare it to diablo for the gameplay.. you can't discount it being similar to diablo because you've had a bad experience with the UI or the co-op.

The game is not perfect, but this is the best multiplayer RPG experience on the Xbox 360. The game world is huge and fun to explore. Online 4 player co-op runs smoothly and is an absolute blast. There are a few bugs here and there, but Ascaron has already submitted a patch to Microsoft for certification. As long as they continue to support this with fixes and updates, this will be the game that "Diablo-style game fans" have been waiting for.

This is the game that Diablo fans have been waiting for. The game is set in a huge map that approximates over 22 square miles of lush and detailed terrain, a detailed leveling system that allows for extensive character customization at level-up, an immense array of possible weapon and armor modifications, the ability to customize your equipment and use several items in different ways, Twelve customizable quick spell/ability/weapon slots using the XYAB buttons plus LT and RT to shift to another XYAB set each, and a lot of dramatic eye candy that multiplies the overall superb graphics.
I must give warning though. There is currently no trading permitted between two people using the same console in order to prevent item copying (which is frustrating because the game maker should be less concerned with the integrity of the game and more worried about their players having a good time). Multiple saves of the same character are also disallowed for the same purpose and the down side of that is the possibility to lose your character due to a corrupted save (I lost one, but I do not think this is a very common problem). And finally, the character, inventory, and merchant screens are only available to one person per console at a time. This can be an excersize in patience when one player is looking to upgrade their arms/armor/abilities because there are so many types percentages and abilities available to choose from that it can take some time weighing the possible kickback to detriment of each item or ability.
Overall, If you can find a trustworthy friend on-line to act as a "middle man" for trading between two people on the same console, can avoid corrupted saves, and have the level of patience found only in Buddhist fable while your buddy is looking to purchase the best items or level up, this game is absolutely fantastic.
I personally love the game and look foreward to many hours of multi-player hack-n-slash action even though I am not a Buddhist.
