The lack of online splitscreen is a HUGE disappointment to me, as far as I can tell it makes no sense why that is not possible when there is offline splitscreen. Why Borderlands, WHY? It's a glaring error as far as co-op gaming is concerned and made me knock at atleast two stars off my internal rating system that no one cares about except me.

I love borderlands, the only fault i find with it is not being able to do lan multiplayer with 3 people on 2 xbox's.

I had some misgivings with Borderlands. I really want to see a multiplayer Fallout/Oblivion type of game and Borderlands is providing the infrastructure of what I'm looking for, however the video game conventions move away from the "serious" RPG setting I want to see.

However, once I let go of needing that serious angle and settled into Borderlands on its own it has grown on me and been a very enjoyable ride for me and my wife. I'd still like to see a game that has the serious immersion of a Bethesda Softworks type game, but with the multiplayer component that Borderlands provides, but this is still fun.

The only other flaw I'm having with the game is that there is no split screen with network. I have to choose between playing with my wife, or an old friend, and not both at the same time. If that feature was present then the game would get a 5 out of 5 for me, right now it's a 4 out of 5.

Willtur speaks the truth on that time management! I've slept very little since it came out. I play about 5 hours everyday, plus I work 3rd shift so I'm up till about midday playing. It sux though - hardly no one is on then. Look me up if you wanna jam with a LVL 30ish Beserker. Don't worry - I don't rage out too much. I know that sound gets annoying - lol

HUGE fun with this game!!! -- I think it's, by far, the best mix of a really great/fun shooter along with strategy, task accomplishments, and comic relief -- all in an amazing variety of very cool/detailed/interesting "worlds".

The seemingly endless weapon choices, available $$$, and perks/upgrades keep you continually tuned in to what's best for your particular gaming style and current objective. And the totally wild assortment of bad guys and creatures, in addition to being extremely challenging as you progress and/or have friends fighting by your side, are just waaaay to fun & funny all at the same time (I've killed tons of those little midget zombies but still laugh every time I do!)

Needless to say, I've gotten very little sleep the past few days... ;-)
