Number of Players: More than Four players are available for co-op play in this game. This is the highest maximum number available for a specific mode. See chart for details.

Online Co-Op: Co-Op Play is available over the internet or an online service like Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network. Each player needs their own system, game, and internet connection.

Couch Co-Op: Couch or Local Co-Op allows players to use one copy of the game with multiple controllers to play co-op. This includes both split screen play and same screen play. Couches are not required.

SplitScreen: The TV is split into multiple screens so each co-op player gets their own viewpoint. The screen could be split vertically or horizontally.

LAN or Systemlink: Co-Op Play is available over a Local Network or System Link Connection. Most likely a router will be required, but you may use a crossover cable in some cases.

Drop-In/Drop-Out: Players can join or leave a cooperative game session at anytime without disrupting an existing player's game.

The Co-Op Experience:

Team up with up players to take on AI pirates in different scenario maps. Players need to work together and use strategy to over take towns, plunder booty, and generally just be a badass pirate!

While the game ships with maps that are typical for 4 vs. 4 AI there are some community based maps that support 8 player co-op.

Players can drop out anytime and join between maps.

Background: Fight for fortune and infamy in Age of Booty, Certain Affinity and Capcom's game of pirate strategy and cannon-blasting action that's fun for all ages.
