	Quake II (Enhanced) Fight the hostile Strogg through the gritty, military sci-fi campaign and expansions in 4-player online or local split-screen co-op or take on a team of bots in TDM with up eight players (local and online). Save games are now supported while playing cooperatively and new rules have been added to improve Quake II's Cooperative modes. If all players die, it's game over and the level will restart. Respawn your teammates by clearing all enemies in the area or finding a safe place to hide. Teammates will spawn near you, letting you get back into the fight quickly. Create an additional challenge for you and your friends by setting a maximum lives limit or upping enemies' health. To help with communication, you can also ping areas in the map by using the “point” gesture that will be visible to all other players.
	Battlestations: Pacific Up to four players can join up and fight in the skirmish modes against the AI.
	Resident Evil 5 The entire Resident Evil 5 campaign supports two player, drop-in/drop-out co-op. Co-op is also supported in the story DLC, "Lost in Nightmares" and "Desperate Escape." Additionally, two player online co-op is supported in the "Mercenaries United" mode.
	Overlord Controls minions with your best (evil) friend as you terrorize the country side.Overlord is set in an unnamed fantasy world, where the player takes the role of a resurrected warrior known simply as The Overlord who has control over hordes of gremlin-like creatures known as "minions". The player must defeat seven corrupt ruling heroes in order to reconquer the lands and establish his lordship over its inhabitants. The game features a corruption feature, similar to that of the Fable games, but allowing the player to "be evil... or really evil", where certain actions and choices affect different aspects of the story and gameplay. While controlling the Overlord in a third person perspective, the way minions are controlled to battle and perform actions brings elements of real time strategy, with upgrades bringing those of role-playing games. The game also uses black humour and often parodies and satires the traditional fantasy setting and plot.
	Left 4 Dead 2 Take the role of a different set of survivors as you use all new blunt force weapons, chainsaws and new guns in the sequel to Left 4 Dead. Teamwork is even more crucial as high intensity moments require greater communication to survive.To enable split screen refer to this post.
	Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition Up to six players can team up online or via LAN to battle their way through the campaign
	Spec Ops: The Line A series of objective-based cooperative multiplayer scenarios set in Dubai after a series of cataclysmic sandstorms have wrecked the city. It includes four fast-paced missions, each with its own unique objectives, environments and playable characters.
	Portal 2 Portal 2 will have a co-op campaign. Players take control of a robot and work through puzzles that require two players to work together to solve.
	Magicka Four player co-op is available in all game modes and types including a story mode and an unlockable survival mode. While you can't drop in to a game, you can drop out and not break the session if you aren't the host.
	Terraria Terraria is a world building open ended side scrolling action game. Think of it like Minecraft in 2D.
	F.E.A.R. 3 Players can take the role of point man, the main character from previous FEAR titles or Fettel, a pscho-kintetic character that can inhabit the bodies of enemies in two player online co-op.In addition the game features two survival style online co-op modes for four players.
	Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine The online only survival mode is called Exterminatus, putting a squad of four Space Marines against Orks and other baddies in a violent score based fight to the death. There are three classes to choose from: the Tactical Marine, Devastator or Assault Marine and players will be able to utilize weapons and perks available to those classes from both co-op and multiplayer versus modes.
	Civilization V Research is shared between players when choosing to play on the same team. If both players research the same item, the time it takes is reduced. When one player discovered a technology, the other gets it as well.Players share the benefits of landmarks, ruins, and other discoveries on the map.Players share the map. Diplomatic options are available as well to trade resources, gold, and units.Co-Op is played in multiplayer with each player picking to join the same "team." It's assumed a balance of 3 players vs 3 AI are chosen, but you can weight it to 3vs1vs1vs1 or 3vs2 or 2vs1, etc.
	Dead Rising 2: Off the Record Two players can play the entire game cooperatively online in both story mode and sandbox mode. �Both characters will earn XP and cash. �Story progress and weapons stay in the host�s game.
	Iron Brigade Team up with three other players and show off your customized Trenched Mech as you work together. The game also features a revive mechanic and will scale difficulty based on the number of players.
	Dungeon Siege Each player takes the role of a character in the party in this real time RPG.
	Dungeon Siege II A patch is required for the full 8 player co-op experience.
	Serious Sam 3: BFE Team up through the campaign with up to 15 other friends for frantic, old-school shooting action.
	Counter-Strike: Global Offensive The game offers a mode called "Co-op Strike" in which two players go against an AI controlled terrorist team in a story-driven scenario. The game mode can currently only be accessed by playing corresponding maps (prefix coop_) from the Steam Community Workshop or by using console commands. There are however a handful of official maps available made by Valve.
	Awesomenauts Three players can team up locally or online and play against bots.
	Borderlands 2 Players work together using four different classes of characters to complete quests, gather loot, and trade items. All three systems support online co-op. Local co-op is available on the console versions.
	Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor Operation Stonewall is the lone co-op mode in Tales of Valor. It throws up to four players into a scenario where they defend a town against an all out attack by an overwhelming AI opponent. You'll have to use everything at your disposal to try and hold out.

	Trine 2: Complete Story A side-scrolling puzzle-platforming game featuring up to three players working together to complete the campaign. Three player couch co-op, online co-op, and combo co-op (i.e., a mix of couch and online co-op) is supported throughout the campaign. Each player controls one of the three heroes.
	Path of Exile Form a party of up to 6 players online to adventure through randomly generated areas. Players can join the party at any time and port into a private area that their party has already created. Choose from six classes in this highly character-customizable ARPG.
	Resident Evil 6 Team up through the game's story with one of 6 different characters (3 stories, 2 characters each) or play the game's co-op mercenary mode with up to four players.
	Prison Architect Build a prison cooperatively with up to 8 people online! While in a regular sandbox game of Prison Architect you can select to Go Online and host a multiplayer game that people can join. This game can be publicly listed or set to private and protected with a password. When players have joined you can see them as a marker in the world and can see what material or object they have currently selected and are about to build.
	Don't Starve Together Players team up and share resources to survive as long as possible.
	Company of Heroes 2 The game's Theater of War mode allows players to team up across 18 missions that can be played cooperatively.
	Europa Universalis IV Play co-operatively by controlling a single nation or aiding each other as separate nations with up to 12 players online. This isn't a hard limit - the real max. player count is 256 which can most likely be achieved on LAN - but it's the recommended maximum size.
	The Forest Crash land with friends in up to 8 player cooperative multiplayer.
	CastleStorm Two players team up in a survival mode or last stand mode. In survival one of you mans the ballista, whilst the other acts as a hero. Last stand mode sees both of you in acting the hero against endless waves of enemies.

	StarMade 8 players is the officially supported amount for normal servers but the player count is only limited by the server hardware.

	Dungeon Defenders II The cooperative mode is the true sequel to Dungeon Defenders. Expect more heroes, more towers and even more loot. New features like an expanded story and a 24-player overworld are also in the works.
	Stardew Valley Up to three other players can join the host player as farmhands. Farmhands can do almost anything the main player can do. They can farm, mine, fight, fish, forage, marry NPCs and take part in festivals. Each player has their own inventory. When a farmhand is not connected, their inventory can be managed through a chest in their cabin.
	American Truck Simulator Up to eight players can enter a session and drive together this includes fulfilling contracts together by sharing the cargo. If a player is missing an DLC area, it's not available for all of the players.
	Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Four player co-op will be supported in the main story campaign missions and side missions. Each player will be able to select from one of five characters and upgrade/outfit their character how they see fit. The combined forces of Chaos and Skaven are merciless, and it will require a co-ordinated team effort to survive their never-ending onslaught.
	Overcooked! 2 Team up with three friends locally, online, or a mix of the two (i.e., combo co-op). Work together through all of the story maps as you prepare dishes and try to get a high score!
	Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis Up to 12 hunters can take on missions together.
	Red Dead Redemption 2 Team up with three friends online and take on story based missions like train robberies, thefts, and clearing hideouts in the Red Dead Online mode. Matchmaking is available or join with a Posse by finding NPCs.
	Elden Ring Up to two friends can be summoned. There are three items available to do so. One puts you in a pool to be summoned by anyone, the next allows to be summend by a specific player and the last makes all players visible that are waiting for a co-op partner to the host. You can set a password for your session to make sure no one can disturb your party. Communication ingame happens using emotes. There are restrictions for multiplayer however: You can explore the open world as well as all the dungeons but can't play through the whole story together. Once the area boss is killed, everyone returns to their own session. In addition the horse as well as the fast travel system are not available. And if a friend dies, they are teleported back to their world. If the host dies, everyone is kicked from the session. Progress is also only saved for the host e.g. boss kills will only count for the host.
	PlateUp! Co-operate with the rest of your team like a well-olive-oiled machine, or bite off more than you can chew with crying children and dirty dishes.
	Lost Ark Four players can team up in a group and go questing together.
