Lasers, rockets, spaceships, and asteroids. If all of those things sound good to you, you may want to check out the upcoming twin-stick co-op shooter, SUPERVERSE. The pre-alpha footage contains a sound clip from a very classic game, and that makes me happy.
One of the big features of the game is the "time slow-down mode" where everything gets slowed way down. Seems like a pretty useful feature once the action really picks up and gets hectic.
While the footage isn't showing off any co-op play just yet, local co-op has been confirmed for the title. Interestingly, it sounds like it'll support not only keyboard/mouse and gamepad, but also smartphone controls. It's an interesting way to get around the "not enough controllers" problem.
There's no set release date for the game just yet, but it's due out some time this year on PC.
