Co-Op Monthly Round-Up for August 2022

Playing with paint

Oh boy... It seems like the return of the Saints wasn't at all what fans and critics had hoped for. We have yet to play it ourselves, but the reviews and user ratings are less than favorable for the reboot. Luckily, it wasn't all bad for the studios of the Embracer Group - who are seemingly well on their way to owning all of the games and developers by next year. THQ Nordic's remake of Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed is mostly hitting all the necessary buttons and looks to be a fun time.

Crypt of the NecroDancer: SYNCHRONY, the newest DLC for the hit rhythm game, also appears to be a good co-op pick, and not just because of all the new content. It increases the amount of players able to play through the game together to an eye-watering eight in the new online mode and four on the same couch - definitely a nice surprise this month.

But why am I here telling you what happened in August? Just take a look below to see all the new stuff waiting for you and your friend group. And don't worry if you really can't find anything from the August calendar; Gamescom 2022 featured quite a few co-op announcements resulting (together with everything else) in 89 new entries to our database. And with autumn looming ahead, the release calendar will only get fuller with each passing day.
