Green Hell VR Is Getting a Co-op Mode in 2024

Get ready to rumble in the jungle with your VR pals.

Green Hell VR is the virtual reality version of the popular survival game, Green Hell, from Incuvo and People Can Fly. Co-op multiplayer has been a long-requested feature, which makes sense since the first game received co-op about a year after its release. Happily, Incuvo has finally shared some co-op details and a trailer for Green Hell VR. The co-op update will come to both the Meta Quest and PlayStation VR2 versions of the game sometime in 2024.

4-player online co-op will be supported in both the Story and Survival modes. That's good news, because some of us prefer progressing through a story together rather than dealing with the busy work of a survival mode. Here's the teaser video for the co-op update:

"The Spirits of Amazonia Part 1" update

While co-op won't be ready for a while, Green Hell VR recently received a free expansion on Meta Quest and PlayStation VR2 (the Steam version seems to have been abandoned for some reason).

The "Spirits of Amazonia Part 1" update adds:

  • The first part of a new prequel trilogy story set before the events of the original game 10-15 hours of new content
  • The in-game area is DOUBLED in comparison to the base game
  • Brand new activities, such as helping out the local population - Discover new tribal villages and challenging Tribal Legends

Green Hell VR sells for $29.99 on Meta Quest and PlayStation VR2.
