Worship Will Debut on Steam Early Access on July 16

The creepy cooperative cult game is nearly ready to open its doors to the masses.

We've been excited about Worship, from Chasing Rats Games, ever since we learned of its blend of Pikmin-style gameplay with eldritch creepiness. Teaming up to lead a world-ending cult sounds like good, mean fun. As it turns out, gamers will finally be able to have just that kind of fun in July. That's when Worship will arrive on Steam Early Access. If you can't wait that long, there's a demo to try as well.

Features to expect:

  • Blood Rites - Draw mystical symbols with blood to cast devastating spells, manipulate your environment, and solve puzzles.
  • Followers are Everything - Command your faithful to fight, carry, destroy, and die for your cause. Their devotion is absolute… and expendable.
  • Ever-Changing World - Each run takes place in a procedurally generated map, filled with rival factions, evolving challenges, and divine tests of faith.
  • Test your Faith with Friends - Complete rituals, earn devotion, and prove yourself worthy in boss encounters before summoning your god into the mortal realm through online co-op multiplayer.

The new trailer is suitably creepy, and the gameplay it shows looks like a good time... Good and bloody. Yikes, that sacrifice!

Worship will support 4-player online co-op. The game will arrive on Steam on Wednesday, July 16, followed by a console release at some point in the future.
