Single Smoker Seeks A.I. Friends for Survivor Hunting

Smoker (29) seeks three like minded infected for killing Apocalypse survivors and long romantic walks on the beach.  Must have GSOH and special abilities, such as being able to spit acid on anyone captured by my talented tongue.  Uncommon-common infected need not apply.  Please phone 0800-ZOMBIE.

Although we all love to play with co-op pals, it is not always possible when you need up to 8 players for a game of versus mode in Left 4 Dead 2 (let's call it competitive co-op!)  Valve are about to see to this in their upcoming update, which will introduce Bots to aid special infected teams that are down a player or two.  No longer will you feel underpowered or be left alone riding a survivor with no spit to run into. The future update also looks to make changes to the spawn points in the finale sections, allowing you to decide where you want your Boomer to rumble in from rather than have it determined for you.

On a final co-oping note Valve hint at which mode is the most popular:

"What gets played more, Versus or Campaign? It really depends on the day, as they are almost always statistically tied. They are unquestionably the two favorite modes of Left 4 Dead."

What's your favorite game type in Left 4 Dead 2?  The pure co-op experience of working together against the AI through the campaign, or the competitive co-op experience of combining forces to defeat other players?  Where does co-op stop and versus begin?
