Someone went really deep into the depth of 80's licensing to find this one, but what they've come up with actually looks pretty damn cool. Remember the MadBalls? Squishy little disgusting nerf balls that your teachers hated? Yeah, took me a minute too. But guess what? They're back in a brand new game from developer PlayBrains.
The game looks to be one part Assault Heroes and one part Marble Blast Ultra. The co-op mode allows up to Four Players to take control of one of the MadBalls squad and literally roll through the levels firing ridiculous sized guns mounted on their squishy sides. Unfortunately we have awhile to wait for this one, with the developer targetting a Summer 09 release for both the Xbox Live Arcade and PC versions.
