CCV: My Backlog, Let me show you it

My backlog can be divided into two categories. The first category contains couch co-op games which are dependent on my couch co-op partner for life (aka, my wife). She's not as much of a gamer as I am, so getting her in the mood for a new game can be a challenge (unless it's Halo). The second category contains online-only co-op games that I've had a hard time getting through due to my sporadic gaming schedule. It's hard to schedule online play with someone when you have no clue when you'll be free! I usually wind up playing 80% of online-only games alone :'(.

Couch Co-Op games:

Rainbow Six Vegas 1 AND 2: I picked these up from Goozex because I keep hearing how great they are and felt bad that I've missed out on two Rainbow Six games (I've played all of the others). My wife and I have played through Rainbow Six games in the past, but she does not seem interested in these two. She'd much rather play Reach (who can blame her?).

Sacred 2: We pre-ordered this one thinking it was going to be a kick-ass dungeon crawler we could play together. Unfortunately the couch co-op was frustrating to say the least. We only played a few minutes before we gave up. Now that we have an HDTV, I'd like to give it another go but, again, my wife has other priorities (Reach).

Resident Evil 5: We passed on this one initially because of the horrible demo, but you guys have slowly convinced me to give it a try. I picked it up when it was on sale but haven't convinced my wife to try it yet. Then Reach came.

Army of Two: The 40th Day: My wife bought it for us for Christmas, and sadly, it remains in its plastic wrap. Chalk another one up for Reach. Noticing a pattern yet?

Borderlands: My wife and I were addicted to this game for quite a while after its release, but we got burned out. We never completed the campaign, and we own all the DLC. What a shame!

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light: We picked this one up on sale and I REALLY want to play it. It's just killing me. One of these days, I'm going to tie my wife to the couch, hand her a controller, and make her play this with me. I know she'll like it. We've always enjoyed play & pass sessions in Tomb Raider games so this should be even better! If I need to burn our Reach disk, so be it! (I'm totally bluffing, I won't do it)

Online Co-Op games:

Halo Wars: This one is almost too embarrasing to admit. I'm easily one of the biggest Halo nerds here yet I have not beaten Halo Wars. I pre-ordered this one too (Limited Edition even!) yet it sat on my shelf, unplayed, for quite some time. I've knocked out a mission here and there but I still have a long way to go. The length of the missions and lack of checkpoints make this one daughnting with my schedule.

Crackdown 2: I actually completed this game last night with Pure Ratchet (aka xxW4R EAGL3xx), but this was another one my wife bought me for Christmas that stayed in its plastic wrap for weeks. Once I got into it, I was hooked. I have to admit though, it sat on the back burner all that time because of Call of Duty: Black Ops (and partially Reach). I still want to go back and finish off some achievements.

So there you have it. My huge backlog. Since 2011 seems to be a bit lacking on the couch co-op front, maybe we'll get through some of these!
