With a twinge of that new toy feeling, I opened the game, downloaded the free content, and sat down with my wife to revisit Albion. The game starts off letting both players pick their gender and a familiar voice addresses both, a promising start, and more than Fable 2 ever gave "partners". The story begins with a cut-scene that involves the uncovering of a bed partner, which turns out to be the dog, not player 2, a good psych out. Player 1, me, is urged to change into something more suitable and given a choice of 2 outfits. Player 2 is already dressed and waiting. We try the whole interaction bit, everyone's been hearing about, and find we can shake hands, belch, or give gifts. So far so good, until I realize, as she's interacting with her dog, both players have one, I can do nothing, literally. The camera zooms in on her and her dog, showing a cute interaction, but I can't see myself. Ironically that's the only camera control she has. Player 2 is unable to move the camera at all. Hopefully this is a story thing; maybe combat will give her, at least, a little control.
