Our Weekend In Gaming: Waifu Combat Simulator

This weekend, the Co-Opticrew is abandoning their ailing reality for a newer, better one.  With their virtual life partners at their side, they'll explore new worlds, combat fearsome foes, and drain their bank accounts on highly detailed body pillows.  What fun!  I hear the nuptials are already being planned, so I'd advise going ahead and picking out some extra tasteful Second Life outfits.

HyperX expands its Alloy Origins line with patented in-house blue switches

HyperX Alloy Origins Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Blue Switches Review

Last week, HyperX released another keyboard in their Alloy Origins line: the Alloy Origins Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with HyperX Blue Switches. This is their first full-sized keyboard to receive HyperX blue (clicky) switches. I’ve reviewed the Alloy Origins keyboard with both HyperX Red and Aqua switches in the past, and (as expected)...

Our Weekend In Gaming: Testing...

Due to forces outside our control, last's week iteration of the Weekend in Gaming post vanished into the ether.  It was truly a shame to lose such valuable information, but it did give the Co-Opticrew a chance at a triumphant return.  Unfortunately, said return appears to be more whimper than bang.

Kids need us now more than ever

Join Extra Life and Help Covid-19 Relief

Every year I invite Co-Optimus staff and readers to pitch in and help kids through Extra Life. The charity benefits Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, and brings in millions each year. It's a fun way for gamers to unite and do good in the world. This year, with the Covid-19 pandemic sweeping the US, our children's hospitals need even more support. Here's your opportunity to pitch in and help.

Checking in with your friendly weekend superheroes.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Marvelous

Based on some early intel, it looks like the Co-Opticrew will be dusting off their capes and spandex for the weekend.  It's been a while since we've felt powerful enough to stop... well, anything that's happening in the world right now, so maybe some time pretending we have superpowers will help.  On the other hand, there's a surprising amount of pirate-themed action going on over the next few days as well, so maybe we're just looking for a way to feel pure, unbridled freedom.  Might there be some social commentary buried deep within our choices?  Probably, but that seems a little above my pay grade.

We've done it now.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Aw Heck

The Co-Opticrew is headed to the land of fire and brimstone this weekend, and not just because of all the unspeakable acts we've committed.  Apparently, there's some gaming to be had in the netherworld, so it's our duty to investigate.  Will it be the land of milk and honey?  Probably not, but I'm sure we'll find a way to make the best of it.  I hear sulfur doesn't smell quite so bad after your twentieth hour of exposure.

The party don't stop (for 72 hours).

Our Weekend In Gaming: Quarantine Party

Most of the Co-Opticrew has an extra long weekend coming up, which would be pretty exciting if there wasn't a global disease on the prowl.  Nevertheless, we're taking the good with the bad and packing our weekends full of gaming (and other non-contact activities).  It doesn't look like things will be changing anytime soon, so the quicker we get used to new ways of having fun, the better.
