Hard as it may be to believe for some of us, but the very first Kirby game (Kirby's Dream Land for the Gameboy) was release in North America 25 years ago yesterday. To celebrate the little guy's Silver Jubilee, a number of Kirby titles are on sale via the Nintendo eShop, including Kirby's Return to Dreamland for the Wii U (via Virtual Console) and the more recent Kirby: Planet Robobot.

Eurogamer 2011 is fast approaching, which reminds me of my co-op surprise of last year; Kirby's Epic Yarn, a game I previewed at the show.  Whilst that was a fun two player co-op title, Hal Laboratory have upped the stakes this year with the 4 player drop in/drop out Kirby's Return to Dreamland.  A new trailer details the game and shows some 4 player action.

Nintendo has quietly slipped another promising co-op game into their fall lineup. In the same vein as New Super Mario Bros Wii and Kirby's Epic Yarn, their next Nintendo Wii entry, Kirby's Return to Dream Land will support couch co-op throughout the game's lighthearted campaign.
