Nintendo went ahead and announced the release date for the much-anticipated 3D Streets of Rage. The portable two player brawler drops on the e-shop in the US December 19, just in time to pick up a few copies as digital stocking stuffers. With the handy mobility of the 3ds, you don't have to worry about spending another nanosecond without punching some street trash right in their mean old face.
Sega is on a bit of a nostalgia trip. On the year of its 30th anniversary, the company has been turning through its deep catalogue of classic games and remaking/re-releasing them for modern platforms. The next game/series to get the revitalization treatment? That's up to us!
The Nintendo 3DS EShop is getting a several 3D remakes of classic Sega games. We've already seen a 3D Altered Beast coming, but another classic co-op franchise in the works is 3D Streets of Rage. While all the 3D Classic Sega games are coming to Japan on August 21st, there are plans to bring them to the West shortly after.
