Space Punks is a Third-Person Borderlands-Style Early Access Game

Borderlands is a fantastic "loot shooter" series, but it's also a first-person shooter. What are gamers who can't enjoy FPS games to do? Enter Flying Wild Hog and publisher Jagex, whose new early access co-op game Space Punks looks just like Borderlands but with a third-person perspective. The game is Epic Games Store exclusive but will eventually come to consoles as well. Also, it will probably be free to play at some point.

Explore the underground Hollows with friends

'Almighty: Kill Your Gods' Goes Underground in Latest Steam Update

Almighty: Kill Your Gods is an action RPG from Versus Evil and developer RUNWILD Entertainment that launched on Steam Early Access in May. Despite the Early Access tag, the game already features truly impressive (perhaps even Monster Hunter-esque) graphics and online co-op. Almighty just got even mightier thanks to an update that adds a challenging subterranean Hollows realm to explore.

Sequel includes online co-op play

Door Kickers 2: Task Force North Hits Early Access

The original Door Kickers was great tactical title that reminded me of the original Rainbow Six's planning mode with overhead execution. It wasn't until late in its life that the game got a patch to include co-op play. Now, learning from that experience, developer KillHouse Games have created a proper sequel with co-op in mind from day one with Door Kickers 2: Task Force North.

Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! Enters Early Access Later This Month

There is a third entry in the Cook, Serve, Delicious series - appropriately named Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! - making its way onto the PC in just a couple weeks via Early Access on Steam and GOG.com. The title will eventually see a full release on that platform as well as Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but if you just can't wait to man your own food truck and start cooking with a buddy, then you'll want to set a reminder on your device of choice for January 29, 2020.

You're going to want a solid co-op crew for this one

In Case You Missed It: GTFO Is Available via Steam Early Access

10 Chambers Collective's GTFO arrived via Steam Early Access last week. As it is still in the beta phase, there are only six levels available at the moment, though getting through those won't be easy. The developers are out there pretty publicly stating this game was designed to be a challenging experience and that it may not be for everyone. Based on what I've played so far, they're not wrong.

Undercrewed Is Now Available in Early Access

Last year, we got a brief glimpse at Undercrewed, an interesting co-op title that blends elements of FTL and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. At that time, David Strachan, the game's developer, was seeking funding for his Kickstarter (which was a success) to get enough money to help him finish development. Today, we all can enjoy the fruits of those efforts as the title arrives in Early Access!

Enjoy a Fable for Two With a Buddy

Video games are coming from all kinds of places these days; from big "AAA" developers to one-man passion projects, some say that it's never been a better time to play games. Certainly, with the increase in people making games, it's no surprise we're also seeing more co-op titles because who doesn't love playing games with friends? A few students from Supinfogame Rubika are working on a couch co-op action/adventure game called Fable for Two, and you can play the first couple chapters now for free!
