Things are starting to pick up once more for game releases, so we decided to check out two titles this past Monday instead of the usual one. First up, we dive into Heroes of Hammerwatch and wander around the mines for a bit before deciding we'd rather go to space. So, we hop into our ships and take off in RiftStar Raiders.
Climax Studios' top-down loot shooter, RiftStar Raiders, has a release date in sight! The title will arrive first on PlayStation 4 on February 27, and then to Xbox One and PC on February 28 (and the Switch sometime after that). If you want to get your hands on it sooner, then good news! There's a free trial available now on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Is it just me, or are we seeing a resurgence of SHMUP or Twin-Stick style games lately? I feel like every other day we're adding some new title to our database that combines fast paced bullet-hell like gameplay with some other genre-bending element. Today that game is RiftStar Raiders, a new title from Climax Studios.
