Version 1.2 brings a plethora of improvements, but co-op is still in the works.

New Warside Update Rebalances Difficulty, Improves AI, and More

When Warside debuted on Steam back in April, I blazed through the campaign and had a great time doing it. Little did I know, however, that the turn-based strategy game was too easy. Well, the developers at Lavabird have fixed that and then some with the new version 1.2 update. It rebalances the campaign, improves the enemy AI, adds turn timers to multiplayer, and lots more. This update is one of several that will happen on the way to co-op support being added in the future.

This addictive turn-based strategy game will be getting co-op, but it's a few updates down the line.

Warside Developer Roadmap Reveals Plans for Co-op Update

Warside, an Advance Wars-style turn-based strategy game from Lavabird and First Break Labs, arrived on Steam last month. While the game impressed us with its approachable gameplay, the promised co-op mode was nowhere to be seen. Thankfully, it's still a-comin', as the recently released development roadmap indicates. Before the big co-op update makes it to market, several more updates are planned to tide players over.

Co-op support is planned for the future, but this turn-based strategy game is already plenty of fun.

Warside Arrives on Steam, But Co-op Isn't Available Yet

Warside is a freshly-released, turn-based strategy game for Steam from Lavabird and First Break Labs (makers of Cthulhu's Reach). We've been excited for it not just because of its lovely Advance Wars-style graphics and intuitive gameplay, but also for its promised co-op support. Well, now that the game is here, it turns out that co-op won't be arriving until the console ports come along. That's a shame, but the currently-available solo campaign and competitive multiplayer are nothing to sneeze at.

The upcoming turn-based strategy game sure looks a lot like Advance Wars.

Warside Is Planning to Blow Off Some Steam on April 14

Remember how fun Advance Wars: Portrait of Ruin was in co-op? It's not often that you find a turn-based strategy game that's so easy to play AND also supports the co-op. That's why we're pumped for Warside, the upcoming strategy game for Steam from Lavabird and First Break Labs (makers of Cthulhu's Reach). It plays a lot like Advance Wars, and we're dying to play it with friends.
