Co-Op Release Alert and Trailer: Tom Clancy's HAWX

News
Twitter facebook googlebuzz

Tom Clancy's HAWX comes out today for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, PC gamers will see their version hit next week.  For those that don't know, the game is an flight simulator that teeters on the arcade side of gameplay.  Set in the familiar universe of Tom Clancy where the world is constantly going to hell in a handbasket, you and three friends can play through the entire campaign cooperatively - all in drop-in/drop-out fashion!

If you own the Ace Combat 6 flight stick, HAWX is perfectly happy with supporting it for your aerial combat maneuvers.   Yes - you can even hit the brakes and watch them fly by!

To prove that we've posted the official launch video for the title, one that's sure to make you immediately whip out your wallet and go purchase the title.  You've been warned!

It would've been a lot easier for me to justify this if it was Local coop.

I can't wait to pick this up! AC6 had very limited co-op but it was still fun, this can only be amazing.

I'm in for that, I loved the demo. I don't think I'll have it in until Saturday afternoon from Gamefly, but I'll be up for some co-op.

I see I'm not the only one with that issue. I tried to pick up my copy today at Gamestop, and they didn't get it in.

I almost never can get a new release on Tuesday. The "release date" is actually the ship date, so new releases don't come in until midday Wednesday for me.

It's frustrating because sometimes it's both. For instance - Halo Wars. It was always March 3rd and no one had a problem getting it.

I think it has more to do with games that are crunched out the door so they literally ship the day before they are due - or games that are finished on schedule so they have time to ship ahead of time.

I'm sure it also has a lot to do with stores breaking the street date.

I liked the demo, but would rather prefer a more arcade like flight game. Think Crimson Skies for the 360, now that would be awesome.

I've noticed that activity on HAWX is picking up. More game sessions online, both vs. and Co-Op. And it seems GameInformer this month has given it a good review.

I tried this on Co-op tonight for the 1st time. Probably the most fun I've had in co-op in ages. Took less than 2 minutes to find 3 people who not only used the mics, but actually coordinated where they were going, what weapons payloads they were carrying, and broke down who could do what faster.

Dang, this is what Co-op is all about!

Nick and I played a bit of HAWX the other day. Unfortunately, we didn't make it far enough to unlock the Assistance OFF mode for him, so I think he missed out on that. But it's a fun game, it really is.
