Pre-Order Your Modern Warfare 2 Version of Choice, Get $10 Credit

Ready to get your own Night Vision goggles with Modern Warfare 2?   Amazon has made all three versions of the game for the PlayStation 3, PC and 360 available for pre-order.  If you do preorder you'll get $10 credit towards another video game purchase.

Surprisingly the Prestige Edition racks in at only $150, not a bad price to pay for some night vision goggles, the game, art book, steel case, and the original CoD remastered.   The Hardened version cost $79.99 and the Regular Edition will be $59.99.  Unless of course, you're in Britain.

Preorder through the above boxart link to help support Co-Optimus, and let us know which edition you went for!

Thanks Brien for the tip!

What do you mean "credit"? Like contribution money to the site?

you get credit at amazon to spend on more games

Ah, I realized that it was on the Amazon page.

I pre-ordered on a deal like this last year (GoW2, I think) and they send you a $10 coupon/credit code by email after it ships.

The writeup above doesn't mention it, but one nice thing about this pre-order deal is that you get free "Release Date" delivery.

So if I got the Hardened edition, I'd only pay $70? That's tempting. But I have to wait until they show off the mutiplayer first. Grenade spam=no purchase.

Correction to my previous comment about the code coming via email. Just pre-ordered mine and noticed that it says "The promotional code will be placed directly into your Amazon.com account within 2 business days after the product ships."

i preordered sacred 2 from amazon that never shipped. i ended up canceling my order when i found a better deal. i also preordered halo wars and it took a week to ship and another 4 days to arrive. is that release date shipping a new feature or is it only offered on select products?

edit: release date shipping is only free for amazon prime. $5.98 otherwise (probably depends on which one you get and where its going)

I just realized I'll be at college when this comes out. I'll just buy the regular edition from store.

@smurphster Sorry, you're right. ReleaseDateDelivery is only free for AmazonPrime. I have Prime and didn't notice that limitation. Without Prime I guess ReleaseDateDelivery is around 6 bucks.

Regarding your question, yes RDD is only available on certain pre-orders.

Why is this game so expensive? I know MW1 was good, but IW is just getting a super-inflated head, hiking prices up like this. Most games I wouldn't touch at $50, but MW1 was one of the few exceptions. $60 is a no-buy price point for me.

Guess I'll be waiting a while to buy this then.

i'm assuming you're talking about the PC version since virtually every game for consoles start at $60. you get $10 credit for pre-ordering so you are basically paying $50 (assuming you spend that credit).
