Modern Warfare 2 Launch Trailer Will Make You Collapse

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches next week on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.  We won't be getting a full co-op campaign, but we will be getting 23 Spec-Ops missions that are fully playable in two player local and online co-op.

The launch trailer was unveiled tonight and it'll get your blood pumpin' for the game.  It's filled with tension, guns, helicopters, and big explosions all set to Eminem's "Till I Collapse."

Trailers like this actually just make me want to go play a simple 2d indie game.

The trailer looks nice (if you don't listen to the music), but what Infinity Ward is doing is still a travesty, so... no cookie for you, Kotick, not even to pay for fourzerotwo's marketing master that he so sorely needs.

Ya, don't get me wrong, it looks great...
It's just that some part of me stubbornly clings to the hope that AAA games won't be marketed the same way as AAA movies.
A foolish idea, I realize.

WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO SEEM SO EPIC???

Wow... that music choice was awful. Why did they do that?

Anyways, the footage in the suburban area looks awesome.

Don't buy the pc version, its just a direct port of the console version. http://i33.tinypic.com/2mgqzw3.png

I haven't been following this game that much, is that comparison chart accurate? Ugh...

for the most part... i don't know how having LAN play can be worse than having LAN play. and MW2 not having server selection is marked as "no" over a technicality. you can certainly choose to team up with your own friends. also, the average ping is nonsense. it depends a lot on your connection. yes, it will most likely be worse since its peer to peer, but you could certainly have sub 100ms pings if you're close to the host. i hardly consider requiring the latest version to play online as a bad thing. in fact i think its good. i always hated it when trying to find servers to play on and they're running newer/older versions. i'm not sure about the DLC claim... the rest is pretty accurate.
