Guitar Hero: World Tour Setlist Revealed - Overlap?

It may be the weekend of Rock Band 2's release for Xbox 360, but that doesn't mean the competition has to stay quiet. The complete setlist for Guitar Hero: World Tour has been revealed. Some real gems are found there: "Hotel California", "Hey Man, Nice Shot", and (yes I love cheese) "Beat It". Plus, a full three tunes from Tool, and some Hendrix. (About that last one: it took until the seventh GH game to get Hendrix? Unacceptable.) Probably the most interesting thing is the amount of overlap with Rock Band's tracks, either on disc or DLC. A full sixteen songs out of the 86 on the list will already be available by the time GH:WT is released on October 26.
- "The Kill" - 30 Seconds to Mars
- "Ramblin' Man" - The Allman Brothers Band
- "One Way or Another" - Blondie
- "Livin' on a Prayer " - Bon Jovi
- "Feel the Pain" - Dinosaur Jr.
- "Go Your Own Way" - Fleetwood Mac
- "Everlong" - Foo Fighters
- "American Woman" - The Guess Who
- "Mountain Song" - Jane's Addiction
- "The Middle" - Jimmy Eat World
- "Our Truth" - Lacuna Coil
- "Float On" - Modest Mouse
- "Lazy Eye" - Silversun Pickups
- "Today" - Smashing Pumpkins
- "B.Y.O.B." - System of a Down
- "Monsoon" - Tokio Hotel
I'm a bit shocked by this. Most fans agree that Rock Band has an advantage when it comes to the note tracks, while GH has better controllers. (Play "Cherub Rock" in RB and in GH3 see what I mean.) Overlapping songs isn't really playing to their strengths. Is Activision shooting themsevles in the foot by using so many of the same songs as Rock Band? Or is it just that we're runing out of good music for rhythm games? The full GH:WT list is after the break.

GH has better controllers? Heh, you wish.
Well, TrackZero, when you can't say something nice, make it up. I have heard some folks prefer GH controllers somewhere, and I was trying to remain unbiased, hard as it is.
The quality of the GH controllers is definitely better, but I prefer Rock Band's guitar.
This.
Also, I think the Guitar Hero 3 guitar isn't nearly as good as the Rock Band guitar I got to use. The wireless de-syncs for a split second, ruining perfect playthroughs for me. This problem is even worse when using the guitar for Rock Band (PS3 patch ftw)
I like these, but I would like Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit and Metallica - Master of Puppets much better It's a great list, but I think we don't need Tokio Hotel.....
I actually can't stand the RB guitar, and use the GH xplorer guitar whenever I play RB.
I haven't tried the others but I have never had any problems with the xpolorer wired guitar.
I second the GH controllers being better. I have three of them and none have ever broken. I do slightly prefer the feel of the strum bar to the RB guitar too.
My RB drum pads and pedal broke, and my RB guitar did also. The USB hub also stopped working.
