Right now for the next four hours, (deal is up sorry!) you can get the exlusive Slimer Edition of Ghostbusters for the Wii for only $38. Normally the edition runs for $60 on the Wii or $70 on the Xbox 360 and PS3. So what else do you get besides the game for the extra dough?
Included in the Slimer Edition:
- An exclusive Slimer bust designed and created by the original movie sculptor, Steve Johnson. Comes complete with a certificate of authenticity signed by the sculptor himself.
- Exclusive Ghostbusters Gamer Graffix Skins.
- An exclusive (in the US) Ecto1 Key Chain that lights up and makes a siren sound.
As an owner of the 360 Slimer Edition, the statue makes an excellent addition to your shelves. It's a quality and hefty piece of art. If you remember, the Wii version of Ghostbusters was, in our opinion, the better tuned experience for co-op gamers compared to the next gen console versions. It offers two player local co-op play through the game's story.

The PlayStation 3 version of Ghostbusters: The Video Game was criticized for its display issues, and for good reason. In fact, we "heartily" recommended the Xbox 360 version, citing the sub-par visuals as a solid reason.
Atari has apparently sneaked a patch in under our noses, and claims to have fixed not only the resolution differences, but also some known glitches involving online Trophies.
If you were waiting to grab a copy of Ghostbusters because of the afore-mentioned issues, this may be a good time to get in on some very decent four-player action.

We generally enjoyed busting ghosts this summer with our friends, on both the 360/PS3 and the Wii. It looks like we weren't alone. Atari has announced that Ghostbusters the Videogame has sold over one million copies in North America alone.
The Wii version featured a two player split screen co-op story mode while the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version featured an online four player cooperative mode. The press release from Atari quotes a bunch of online outlets who aren't quite as awesome as us - so I thought we'd quote our own reviews.

There's something strange in Xbox Live's hood - it's our next co-op night! We're getting together for our next official Co-Op night on Xbox Live with Peter, Ray, and the whole Ghostbusters crew. Want to join up? Read on to find out how.

By allowing a complete re imaging for the Wii release of a game, Atari did something much different with Ghostsbusters than what we normally see with games. Co-optimus.com was interested to see what those differences were between the Ghostbusters releases from a co-op specific point of view. Since we've already reviewed the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Ghostbusters, all that was left was the radically different looking and controlling Wii version. Does Ghostbusters on the Wii do co-op as well as the Xbox 360 version, or perhaps, even better?

When it comes to comparing same games on different consoles, most of the time it simply feels like comparing apples to apples. Unfortunately, in the case of Ghostbusters, we're comparing apples on a tree to fallen apples that may have been hit by a lawnmower once or twice. Since it's important to know where your money is going, we felt it necessary to share the differences this time.
It's time to strap on our unlicensed nuclear accelerators, and clear our minds as Ghostbusters the Videogame hits the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and PS2 this week. There's also a PC version coming out, which we originally thought had co-op, but reports are coming in that's simply not the case.
The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game support a four player online co-op mode that's separate from the story. The Wii and PS2 versions support a 2 player split screen mode that follows the story.
On a similar note, this week is the 25th Anniversary of the first movie, which is now available on Blu-Ray. Be sure to check out our Single Player and Co-Op Impressions of the game, with a full review coming soon.

Perhaps it's the fact that Ghostbusters for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 starts with the old, film grain and all, Columbia splash screen. Or maybe it's the famous theme song that kicks in shortly after. Whatever the reason, anyone born before 1985 is going to immediately have a smile on their face once the Ghostbusters disc hits their console. It's been a long time coming since we've had a new and original Ghostbusters game, and it's finally here - and it has the entire, well most, of the cast backing it.
I ain't afraid of no contests! No sir, and we've got a great one for you for the upcoming Ghostbusters Video game! We've put together a top notch exclusive Ghostbusters prize pack for one lucky winner. Read on to find out how to win!
Remember when Sony bought Ghostbusters game exclusivity in the European region, thereby locking out Xbox 360 owners from getting their hands on the title until later this year? Yeah, that sucked worse than a Slimer bath.
But there's good news today as it's been discovered that the Xbox 360 version of the game, shipping in North America next week, is not region locked. What does that mean? If you can find the game from a NA retailer and get it shipped to your home country - wherever that may be - you can play Ghostbusters on the Xbox 360 on June 16th with the rest of the world!
Exclusivity Shmusivity! On a similar note, look for a unique and exclusive Ghostbusters contest here very...VERY soon.
