Co-Op Monthly Round-Up for July 2025

Co-Op Life: The Remastered Definitive Enhanced Edition

July saw the release of a couple of highly anticipated Remasters/Enhanced Editions/whateveryouwanttocallit featuring a co-op mode: System Shock 2, Stronghold: Crusader and Neverwinter Nights 2. However, it seems like such things are not created equal. While Nightdive Studios did a banger job with System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster and FireFlys Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition was also well received, Aspyr Media didn’t hit the mark with Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition. The reviews show that They basically just released the same old game with no fixes or improvements to decade old problems. And it’s even worse now, since they added more than a couple new bugs. Hopefully they can turn the ship around in the coming weeks/month.

Continuing with this theme: Another turbulent start had Worship, a Pikmin-inspired roguelite, that entered Early Access. They even had to deactivate the multiplayer-mode for now because it just wasn’t working well. An option, the people over at Tripwire Interactive don’t really have with their co-op horde shooter Killing Floor III. Even after several delays the release version seems to be in a very rough shape based on the reviews and not at all what fans expected. A fate they share with all those PayDay 3-buyers.

But of course, it was not all gloom and doom in July. Especially considering we tracked 62 new releases across all platforms. So as always take a look below and see what suits your friend group.
