Co-Op Monthly Round-Up for August 2025

...and so it begins

As one of the last remaining big gaming conventions, Germany's gamescom was once again the place to be in August. Okay, that's a bit of a lie. There were already too many people there. So instead we chose to just watch from the sidelines the unveiling of long-awaited titles like Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV and Darksiders 4. Witness the surprise announcements of Daimon Blades (read our preview!), LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and others. And read all of the new information for upcoming games (see for example our preview of Hela!) that came down the old press-release-chute.

There was so much this year surrounding the event, that we almost forgot about all those new releases still happening in the meantime. Its not that they ever stop after all. A couple of examples? Stormgate and Abyssus left Steam Early Access, GRADIUS ORIGINS and Lost Twins 2 hit store shelves, Heretic and Hexen received an enhanced edition as did Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and Gears of War. And the devs of The Riftbreaker finally added co-op support.

So take a look below and start gaming away! You don't have much time. Fall is upon us. Oh and a little game called Hollow Knight: Silksong. No, it sadly doesn't have co-op or any kind of multiplayer. We will still play the heck out of it however!
