It seems like only last month that Limited Run games was announcing MARVEL MaXimum Collection, a compilation of 13 classic games featuring Marvel characters. Hey, that actually was last month! Well, the collection must have been nearly ready in February, because MARVEL MaXimum Collection will land on all platforms on Friday, March 27. That's so soon!
Co-op games in the collection:
- Captain America and The Avengers (Arcade, 4-player)
- Captain America and The Avengers (Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, 2 player)
- Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety (Super Nintendo, 2 player)
- Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety (Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, 2 player)
- X-Men: The Arcade Game (Arcade, 4-player and 6-player)
X-Men will support cross-play and online co-op with rollback netcode. The other games only support local multiplayer.
Non-cooperative games in the collection:
- Captain America and The Avengers (NES)
- Silver Surfer (NES)
- Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage (Super Nintendo)
- Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage (Sega Genesis/Mega Drive)

That's an exciting lineup of titles. The games vary in quality, of course, but it's great that they'll be available to modern audiences.
MARVEL MaXimum Collection will arrive digitally on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Switch, and Steam on March 27. Preorders for the physical console editions will be open from March 27-May 24 at Limited Run Games.
